Three police officers have surrendered on charges that they participated in a sex assault on a handcuffed man and then tried to cover up the crime. The Brooklyn district attorney announced a 32-count indictment Tuesday charging Officer Richard Kern with aggravated sexual abuse and assault; and Officers Alex Cruz and Andrew Morales with hindering prosecution and official misconduct. In addition to those felonies, all three are charged with misdemeanors, including falsifying records. If convicted, Kern could face up to 25 years in prison; the others could face up to four years. What happened to protecting us? What happened to serving us? I personally have seen cops do more wrong than good. I heard cops get a psychological test as part of their entrance onto the force- if so why do they never catch these types?
