Quiksilver Roam #1

roam.jpgQuiksilver put up a rad zine style flipbook. It’s all about the skate team’s travels to Brazil.Check it out here.

Credence Updates

Clint Reynolds and crew are awesome. Sometimes I get so bummed out on BMX and then I read about Credence’s travels and it makes me realize why I actually do like BMX. Clint just got picked up by Etnies too! Congrats Clint!

Alex Olson Interview on Thrasher

ad_girl_skateboard_alex_olson_feeble_revertsized.jpg There’s a cool Q&A with one of my favorite skaters, Alex Olson, on the Thrasher site. Click here to check it out.  While you’re at it check out Alex’s Epicly Later’d here.

80’s Contests

picture-7.jpg

I’m always psyched to see some old contests and just seeing how things changed. I “dug” up some old contests on Youtube.

This one is a Sacramento StreetStyle contest in the 80’s.

2-Hip Meet the Street at the Brooklyn Banks.

2-Hip Meet the Street in Santee, CA.

I rode with my friend Ron in San Diego this past fall and we had to stop in Santee, CA. Place was wild.

Mike Anderson Mellow Ramp Session

Real mellow backyard ramp session from Krooked’s Mike Anderson. Modest Mouse cover is awesome too. I want a ramp slightly bigger than that. Just a sweet spot to crack some beers and ride or skate with my friends without worrying about anything. Check it out here

S&M Bikes Web Videos

 s_m_gravity_400pix.jpg

S&M Bikes has been a favorite of mine for a long time. They’ve produced solid products for over 20 years now and seem to not be slowing down at all. Here are 2 new edits from S&M’s flow riders, Arrash Saidi and Rory Ellis. Arrash looks like a seasoned Cali veteran and Rory is a local legend in Massachusetts. His name also sounds like someone I went to high school with.

Fat Back Prodctions in New York

Damn this edit is so awesome! Fat Back Productions in Upstate New York and I’m pretty sure Fat Back Productions means Joe Brook filming some video with a digi-cam while he’s out making skate photo masterpieces. The edit has such a good feel to it, probably helps having the best Neil Young and Clipse song in it. Check it on the SLAP site here. Also, expect a quick Q&A with SLAP’s editor Mark Whitely this week.

Chris Martindale Macneil Edit

Chris Martindale is a ripper. He has an awesome edit on the Macneil site. Click here to check it out. His bio in the now defunct 411 was rad. Steve Machuga filmed a bunch of it and he is also a ripper although I haven’t seen any footage of him lately.martinadale.jpg

Shakas

This polaroid transfer is so sick. I think it’s from the filming of The Present. Either way it looks it pretty timeless. I saw it on the Shakas & Singlefins blog. Go check it out here.

Listen to the Boss

I’ve been listening to the Boss like crazy. I’m using my Dad’s Sirius account and they have the Boss station. Pop in Nebraska and learn.
