This is some of the hip hop I grew into while living in the windy windy. I was all about the Family Tree at one point and despite my age difficulties (I was a youngin’) I managed to run into the Family Tree at concerts and through friends and they left a lasting impression- of greatness. Raydar Ellis was one of URB Magazines Next 20 Artists To Look For in 2007 and has opened and performed with Renee Neufville (Zhane(Throwback!), Mos Def, Robert Glasper, Heavy, Tiye Phoenix, DJ Spinna, Guru, Roy Hargrove…. while Quite Nyce has been featured In URB, Elemental, And On MTV 2 and has toured With Das Efx, Lords Of The Underground, Keith Murray , Onyx so you know these guys are making moves if they’re doing shows with Mos and Heavy  (if I’m thinking of the right Heavy)…

Hello Planet Earth,

I hope everyone is in good health and spirits! Just letting you know about the second day of shooting for my video Best In Show. We will be shooting this Sunday 2/8/09 1PM at Western Beef in Brooklyn. Here is the address and directions:

take L train to Grand St. then take 54 bus towards Jaimaca Ave. get off at 47-05 Metropolitan Ave, Ridgewood, NY 11385 Western Beef

We will be shooting the entire segment outside (I checked the weather, It’s supposed to be 50 degrees but everyone should dress warm.)

For those who don’t know, the video for Best In Show is a period video, inspired by old black and white gangster films. I want everyone to dress in their best old school clothes. I need the guys in shirts and ties, suspenders, fedoras, double breasted suits, trench coats, all those things are appropriate. If you’re confused as to what to wear, check out these PICS from day 1.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT EVERYONE DRESSES APPROPRIATELY. IF YOU DON’T DRESS THE PART, DON’T EXPECT TO GET A CAMEO.

Also BRING ENERGY!! We will be running around and stuff so be ready!
